Umm, a personal opinion on the temp observation at a weather station....  that bothers you.... thats really weird man.

And this takes no effort, you write the script.

Every post you make lately is hypocritical, so there's that.

I will 100% play ball with the person who dishes out non-stop on here and has for years.   Nothing hypocritical about that.   I am literally stating what I am doing.

But you have been doing the same thing for years...... so are we talking about you or someone else.... or are you just gonna continue to pretend you don't do the things you do......  is there a manual that you wrote that explains why it is ok for you to act in a certain way but someone else can't.  Just stop man, you are fighting something that doesn't need to be fought, you are older than me and that should say something... just saying....

Stop what?  I will always respond to passive-aggressive back-handed BS.   Sorry man.

Literally the least droughty CA has ever been on those maps, at least that I've seen.

I imagine the abnormally dry in far Eastern CA gets most of their rains with the monsoons?

The 00z GFS is actually a little further south again with the trough and brings some convective showers back to Seattle with lows in the mid 30s. Hopefully it's the start of a last minute trend.

SSTA map shows the disappearance of the warmest anomaly zone over the Nino regions and that soon might be one of the only areas with cooler than normal anomalies.

Might be a resolution issue on those maps.  But I do think frost is definitely possible on Wednesday morning.  Here was the 10-day snow total per the 00Z ECMWF.

Both El Niño and La Niña are good. Global warming is the true enemy.

La Niña aids and abets global warming via oceanic heat uptake, so if we’re being honest, La Niña = bad. ;) (If you don’t believe me, look at CERES radiative flux data, the system absorbs more than it emits in niña years).

It’s not a coincidence the Medieval Warm Period (and warm cycles before it) were La Niña dominated.

Love it!! Looking so forward to hitting the road ❤️

Someday when work slows down and the kids are a little older I want to do a 2 week camping trip To Utah. These drive bys don’t really do it justice.

12Z GFS is definitely more troughy next week... trend towards ridging appears to be reversing again.

God, another “surprise” 70 at PDX today. We’re already racking them up and it’s not even mid April 🤮

I didn’t think they got out of the 60s but yeah they made it. We got more daytime peak heating now with the later sunsets. First 8pm sunset 🌅 of the year coming on Wednesday.

Because it's Andrew, master troll. No coincidence it was first either.

Though to be fair, just about anywhere rural those signs are undeniably part of Americana now.

Helping some folks out through New Hope church. it’s  a program called Neighbor to Neighbor. I love it and a cool way to give back in our world although I think I receive much more from the experience.  Meet lots a people this way as well. Yesterday the gal we helped brought out lemonade and undercooked brownies ( gooey and yummy 😛). Lol, I came to enjoy the John Deer tractor visiting me as it brought gifts !!! Blessed to be able to do this as well.
I will be hitting the road soon for a storm chasing adventure though!!!! IMG_2386.thumb.jpeg.dea95ac3e3ad63a44d69b3487aa7bc6b.jpeg

Awesome!  Looks like fun!  I like doing that type of stuff and I hope I will be able to do more in the coming years.  Right now it's all about catching up on deferred projects on my own house.

Summer ☀️ grows while Winter ❄️  goes

One small point of interest today is that there could be some wrap around storms over the Cascades and maybe even the foothills this evening, east of Portland.

Shave about ten degrees off the highs and five off the lows and this would be a decent April pattern.
