Dadio
Its virtually gone even from the grassy areas since my last update 20 minutes ago. It has disappeared in an hour. From snow-covered roads to bare ground. I post this... because I assumed incorrectly that it would stay through the weekend with arctic air in place. Even told my mom it would stay... and here it is 11:30 a.m. and its all gone. Virtually? Not really all gone in BLI? Or just all gone on the roads; at that one locating in the sun? Of course it is probably all gone in the shade at that location?
TT-SEA
We never had much to begin with, dude. Seriously, let it go. This crap is super annoying. Oregon is getting hit with a monster snowstorm and you're dwelling on the nitty-gritty details of a dusting of snow in Bellingham. I have been focusing on Oregon the whole time! I was really happy to see snow up in Bellingham. Talked to my parents and they said the grass was completely covered... roads were snow covered... and they guessed almost 2 inches at their house. They thought with the cold air they would not be going anywhere today. epiceast
Reverse convergence zone is forming on the radar. I can confirm the low clouds hanging around campus as well. I think North Seattle-Kirkland-Redmond is in for a surprise as the low pushes north.

I posted about the snow in Bellingham this morning. It was very wintry. They altered bus routes for schools. Roads were completely snow-covered. And then was surprised to see it disappear so fast. Then you guys jump on me like its not possible for it to completely melt away up there. But it has. Perturbed Member
Mark Nelsen is only going with 2-4 inches for today in PDX, I think it is quite conservative. I'm thinking 4-6 inches widespread in PDX at least. This was interesting though: "The ECMWF model has done very well again, showing a 2nd very moist system moving in over us today. Unfortunately it also sends another surge of moisture for more snow and/or freezing rain very late Saturday or Saturday night. It would still be cold enough for snow or freezing rain at that point in the metro area. We’ll take a closer look at tomorrow once we get through this afternoon’s storm." Talked to my parents and they said the grass was completely covered... roads were snow covered... and they guessed almost 2 inches at their house. I enjoy you're posts actually as you do cover both positive and negative sides of things and some people are only one sided it seems and will label you since they only read parts of quotes or take things out of context which seems to be a common problem on the internet not just on this forum. I can see why you get negative when we have constant wet springs because it's boring unless there is convective activity of any sorts or we have a string of sunny days. MR.SNOWMIZER
This is not related to weather but I must share. I own a automotive repair shop in Port Orchard, A guy just drove up in a dodge van with a transmission issue. I noticed he pulled into my parking lot in reverse but I was not sure if he had turned around or something. I gave him the estimate And off he went onto the road in reverse and drove down the road like he was used to it. I am still dazed. 2 Quote We come from the land of the ice and snow.
