I will have some rain move in tonight but only a 1/4 to 1/2 inch looks likely. No cold weather down this way and it may not get cold until mid December when we see the MJO cycle back through the cold phases.
Interesting. Must have been a big N/S temperature spread in November 1915. Shawnigan Lake had 19 freezes that month and was well below average for the month.
Politico did some analysis of Trump's victory in areas around the country. Some very interesting standouts:
9-point shift to Trump in heavily Democratic Wayne County, MI primarily due to support among Muslim and Arab Americans in Dearborn
Almost the entire US/MX border in Texas was red. One of those counties, Starr County which is 97% Hispanic and hadn't voted Republican in over a century, Trump won by 16 points. Hillary won it in 2016 by 60 points
In the 114 majority-Latino precincts in Philly, Trump improved his support from 6.1% in 2016 to 21.8% in 2024. Trump also managed to flip Bucks County, PA which hadn't voted red since 1988
In FL, Orange and Osceola counties which are home to large Puerto Rican populations made large shifts to the right. Trump managed to flip Osceola County after Biden won it by 14 in 2020 and Hillary Clinton won it by 24 points in 2016
Also in FL, Trump won Miami-Dade county by 11 points. Biden won it by 7 points in 2020 and Hillary by almost 20 points in 2016
Trump appears to have made good in-roads with Native Americans. Two Montana counties that saw the largest shift to the right were Glacier and Blaine counties, both of which have Native American majorities. Robeson County, NC, home to the Lumbee tribe, saw a 9-point shift to Trump, largest shift in the state. McKinley County, NM which is 81% Native American shifted 14-points to the right. Biden won Apache County, AZ (71% NA) by 34 points. Trump lost it by roughly 18 points this cycle
Bristol County, MA, home to large numbers of foreign-born people, went to Biden by 13 points in 2020. Harris led in this county by 1 point
Trump saw 5-7 point swings in Iowa counties that are home to the state's two largest universities

Im leaning that this will be the norm for us this year in the KC area. Above normal temps with mostly long dry weather spells with a wet stretch for about 2 weeks and things will dry up again. This is a classic blow torch pattern the the GFS continues this heat wave for the next 2 weeks!
