The GFS is weaker with the low yes, but the track is definitely more conducive to high winds, particularly for Puget Sound. Still skirts the coast, and comes slightly ashore briefly around Aberdeen, instead of shooting off to the NW into Vancouver Island. If it's off in intensity but has the track right, that's bad news for electricity lovers.

For tracking purposes and if someone does a detailed post mortem on this event, 12z Spire has the 984 low right on the coast

if the powers that control things currently have their way we'll all have to walk outside and put a finger up in the air to forecast the weather
