Let’s hope we don’t repeat that summer. Hottest on record for the lower-48. PNW was the only region spared from it.

2008 would be a much better outcome. No death ridges anywhere, plenty of thunderstorms and dynamic troughs from coast to coast.

I was in Oklahoma through early august 2008 and it wasn’t bad at all. Lots of rain and we barely hit 100.

Given the drought the West is facing it wouldn't surprise me if we had another Dust Bowl type summer out this way.

Kind of a bummer it appears the lows coming up will track too far south to give Seattle much of a chance of snow.  Pretty insane to have 3 track that far south in this kind of a pattern this time of year.  Can't wait to see how the details play out though.

I think theres a chance a deformation band ends up further north than anticipated on atleast one of those. Happens sometimes on the north end of systems something to look out for.

Pointless weather pattern for my area, looks like some chilly temps but no snow. Lame. I want my 75 degree day back then!!

Ah, looks like some action up north. I'll be surprised if we see much down this way. We're usually too far south of these lows when they come in. This is a weird location. Did well in the onshore flow snow in Dec but we haven't had deformation band snow here since Feb 2019 in that crazy anafrontal setup.

Brilliantly sunny now. Out of context this looks like a 70+ kind of day. In actuality it is 45°F here and in the upper 30s a few miles away.

Ah yes. The majority of the population loves 48 degree rain at this time of year. Will keep that in mind.

It’s undoubtedly great for our mountains, but everyone was outside a couple days ago when it was warm. No one is outside now, despite the far better weather. Wonder why?

 No we definitely do. There is significant drought and warm anomalies south of Portland and has been for a long time nobody’s denying it.
