EPS keeps the trades cranking along/just west of the dateline through at least the next 2 weeks. Pretty much the ideal longitude to keep the WP in check w/ less Indo throughflow as well.

Starting to get some precip developing in the central sound. Will it make it before we start getting into late morning or will it be too late is the question.

2008 I had 4” and it was later in April than this. Been snowing all night/morning but it’s still just the tiniest amount of slush on the deck for accumulation. This blows compared to 2008.

I am going to drive up the the higher elevation behind my house to see if there is more up there. Temp up to 34.9.

At the lake house now, rain/snow mix with nothing on the ground and a north wind blowing. However at the highest point near Lake Goodwin at nearly 700’ there was a solid dusting.

looks like McKenzie Bridge east of Eugene at 1200’ got 4-5”.

Looks like we got down to 40F. Some rain overnight but not right now. Pretty typical April feel only getting down into the low 40s. Somewhat standard conditions for here upcoming in the next few days. Not a lot of notable events for this location. A bit too late in the year and we tend to run quite a bit warmer than forecast most days. This might get better if we had our own NWS office since our conditions are pretty wildly different than up at the Portland airport…

Icon is a bit south of the GfS, brings the low in just north of Florence tomorrow morning.

The new GFS run shows me right on the line of snow as the low pretty much passes overhead my location. 
 

Most of the other models have it slightly south of there which makes me feel good. There’s a chance that Portland will be in the perfect spot.

PDX is in a great spot. The northern team has trended south, so pretty good chance you are right. I think it’s possible we see a widespread 1-4” in the lowlands. With trees leafing out and how wet the snow will be, anything over 3” would be devastating . And probably cause power outages.

Low of 38 here up to 43 now there was some chunky rain falling last night around 11pm with that shortwave

Really interested to see how the storm tonight into tomorrow pans out definitely seems like the best chance of flakes in the air in April since 2008 and possibly one of the latest sticking snow events on record for this area
