bainbridgekid
Ended up with 3.5" of white gold here last night and school was cancelled. Teachers are more excited about snow days than students! Flurries started at 8:00, picked up to light snow which immediately coated the ground about 9:15, snowed moderate to heavy from about 9:30 to 1 AM, and then kept snowing nonstop till I finally came inside and went to bed at 5 AM. It was a fantastic night of sledding, snowball fights, snowmen, and long walks through the woods. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome and I'm so glad I stayed up to truly experience it. Everything is still coated and just now starting to melt a bit. Trees are still caked though as its only 34 degrees and the last shower to move through about 20 minutes ago was wet snow. 2 Quote Everett Snowfall (510 feet elevation) Snow since February 2019: 91" 2023-24: 6" 2022-23: 17.5" 2021-22: 17.75" 2020-21: 14.5” 2019-20: 10.5" 2018-19: 24.75"

snow_wizard
Best way to get your snow fix is just move to s better location. I know I'm not the only one who has. I wish to God I could. A lot of things that just don't add up to doing that. I totally blame myself. I just didn't research this area well enough before we moved here. At first blush you would think this would be a good spot, but there are too many things wrong with the location. No doubt great winters have happened here and in fact faired better than most areas, but it takes specific patterns. Thank God I'm as healthy as an ox so I may be able to live somewhere good before I'm too old to enjoy it. My situations does make for long bouts of melancholia though. SilverFallsAndrew
Anyone with wxbell care to let me know how snow chances look Sunday-Tuesday for 1500' in Nw oregon? I don't have weather bell, but they look pretty good. From what I can tell in terms of thickness/850s. I don't see much snow lower than about 1300-1500', but our areas could reasonably expect maybe 1-3" at this point and maybe a little more if we get a little more organized precip. 1 Quote Snowfall Precip 2022-23: 95.0" 2022-23: 17.39" 2021-22: 52.6" 2021-22: 91.46" 2020-21: 12.0" 2020-21: 71.59" 2019-20: 23.5" 2019-20: 58.54" 2018-19: 63.5" 2018-19: 66.33" 2017-18: 30.3" 2017-18: 59.83" 2016-17: 49.2" 2016-17: 97.58" 2015-16: 11.75" 2015-16: 68.67" 2014-15: 3.5" 2013-14: 11.75" 2013-14: 62.30 2012-13: 16.75" 2012-13: 78.45 2011-12: 98.5" 2011-12: 92.67" It's always sunny at Winters Hill! A record cold December would be kind of interesting though. For us 1985 was a super interesting year. Both Feb an Nov over performed to a great degree. More snow than the places usually at the top.
