The inconsistency has been unreal.

I mean, we were barely in the blast zone the last two GFS runs. Margin for error is really small. A 50-100 mile shift will have pretty dramatic consequences here.

The Canadian might be right about the circulation but the surface details seem pretty whack. Heights are pretty out of step with what would be expected thickness-wise. Cautiously pessimistic!

Yeah, its amazing how the block being just a bit further east because of that cutoff low being a bit stronger, suddenly we go from real cold to mediocre airmass with no precip Friday. I guess that's what we get for being right on the border of things. 

 

 

Luckilly the GEM looks just as good or better than before. I know it seems like wishcasting but hey, the GEM has been much more consistent and the GFS did cave to it this morning.
