My wife just got home, she said the side roads are already “horrible”

Amazing to have it this cold while it's snowing this early in the evening and this late in the season.  Good stuff!

The 00z 3km NAM sends at least a chunk of that beefcake band that is currently on the Langley hill radar into the PDX metro. Temp here is down to 32.6F and quickly dropping. With -9.5c 850s and a nice looking radar to the west, I hope I can finally break into the 1+ inch of snow club for the winter.  :o

Could an "event" actually turn out better than modeled for Puget Sound, for once?

Still too early to say but radar looks fairly promising. I'm on the eastern edge of things but still getting a good rate of light snow.

Temp already down to 30 after a high of 35.

The models have been pretty horrible this season, so I'd say definitely. :)

It's amazing what a difference having temperatures actually be below freezing and frozen ground makes.

I've just been seeing the lightest of flurries off and on here under the weakest of radar echoes, but roofs, the grass, and driveways are already really whitening up.

I'm getting pretty excited for what those green echoes may do as they hopefully continue to slide South. Seems to be some weakening of the Eastern edge of the band though right now.

Everett Snowfall (510 feet elevation)

Snow since February 2019: 91"

2023-24: 6"

Yeah it shows an intense band move through the southern edge of PDX Metro. Going to be a fun night watching radar!

Flurries just started in downtown Seattle as well. Radar looking pretty promising for later tonight!

Like hawkstwelve said, maybe it's finally time for an event to overperform in Seattle for once.

Still nothing here except for the increase in flurries and the ever minuscule dusting on my deck in the last 20 mins

Holy crap!  The radar just exploded when the northern moisture met the southern.  Snow is slowly picking up here now.

My dad just texted me and said it’s snowing hard there. Close 1/2” on the ground and piling up quickly.

I was just going to ask if you had checked in with your dad. Radar looks very nice in that area! Hopefully Seattle can get in on some action tonight.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Back to a light snow now, temp down to 28. Looks like Camano/Whidbey and Pt Townsend areas are doing quite well at the moment!

The Central Puget Sound looks golden right now.  Heavier echoes approaching Seattle from both the WSW and the NNW.  Could get good for many.

Yeah it's funny he texted me right as I saw your post. I misread his text at first too. They actually have an inch and a half on the ground.
