The mircoburst here in Thurston County on May 4, 2017 was absolutely nuts. One of the most insane weather events I've experienced here.

Really impressive!

I have a red T in my thunderstorm column on my weather records for that day.  Means it was bad here too.

Hoping for something Sep 2013 like. I remember that one just went on for hours. A May 2017 repeat would be really nice as well. I feel like that one has to be the most widespread severe weather outbreak west of the cascades this century so far.

For me the summer of 2008 was the best.  We had a wicked thunderstorm in July that went on for something like 18 hours.  In August we had another storm that was shorter lived, but the lightning was spectacular.

Started phase 1.0-A of the property spring cleaning today! Cut up the chunk of Cedar tree that fell in our driveway turnout area by the main road back in November. Also started cleaning up the veggie garden. Was a great outside day with just a few sprinkles and mostly cloudy conditions.
49/37 on the day. Currently 42.

So far... the 00Z ICON, GEM, and GFS refuse to bite on the anafront idea for Tuesday.    All of them actually went a little bit the other way.    ECMWF is on its own but of course that doesn't mean its wrong.

Bolded is not accurate, that would be 2020 which ran well behind many years over the previous decade.

It’s on my Santa wishlist! Along with a snow plow attachment! However the big man already wrote back and said they will not be under the tree until 2027 at the earliest due to one of our vehicles needing an upgrade in the next two or so years. Oddly enough his handwriting is very similar to my wife’s.

Must be an east coast thing like not snowing. I’ve never had an issue with Stihl.

Great if you’re a homeowner, lightweight and economical. Not if you’re a contractor w/ everyday use on large jobs.

Husky makes the best saws. Echo the best blowers (esp since they purchased Shindaiwa).

Sounds like your core muscles need work. Without them you have no back support whatsoever and you’ll develop cervical and/or lumbar osteoarthritis sometime in your 50s (or earlier).

Many years ago when I worked at the hospital during the "fall back", I had to be 1 on 1 with a patient. That shift dragged on forever.

I used a Stihl for a long time, but it got stolen.  I then decided to fix a big old Homelite 410 that I used a long time ago.  That thing is a beast with a 30 inch bar.

Ended up with a 53/36 day here. Partly cloudy most of the day with evening clearing. Amazing how mild this afternoon felt with some sun, despite the fact that temps were still a couple degrees below average.

The low of 36 was at midnight. Down to 34 now, should be heading for another freeze by morning.

46/33 at my place today. It was down to 37 already at 530 when we left for my in laws. Still plenty of snow but there was a lot of melting today.

06Z ECMWF abandoned the anafront scenario for Tuesday... in agreement with the other models.

The difference for Tuesday is significant with highs around 50 now and party to mostly sunny instead of 30s in places with all day rain and snow.
