I hope we get cold air on both Thursday and Friday. I don’t care about lowland snow as much as mountain snow, but if we get cold air on Friday, we could get low moisture content pow in the mountains like Colorado does.

Yah, the central cascades in WA are sitting at about 68% of normal but not to worried. We usually make it up in March and April when we get excellent setup for moisture and cooler weather. Should be fine.

That being said, it's tough to get excited about anything with that d**n Aleutian low still parked there. Good things rarely happen for the PNW with that feature in place.

That Aleutian Low isn’t going anywhere. But it didn’t go anywhere in November 2014 either..it’s possible to overcome it with enough Alaskan blocking.

Still nothing exciting in the models shown for the s valley this year. I'm assuming the models would have looked like this in 02-03 had they been around.

I think the big story this morning is that we actually look to get a couple inches of rain before inevitably reverting back to ridging later in the month. Still will probably end the month below normal but at least a decent soaking.
