Hard to tell how heavy it is, but it's likely virga. That said snow also takes while to reach the surface, so it will show up on the radar before you see it falling. The thing is, if you just take 10 min. to take your nose out of your precious model and look at the sattelite you can see the advection and frontogenesis in real time.
