Brian_in_Leavenworth
Think I will still have a snow base lasting into March!Good chance, especially if you get any more. Nightime lows below freezing will help. My snow will last until mid to late March. It's not just the more than 30 inches this month with more to come, it is the base that it fell on. While not a huge base for us, as it was only about 10-11 inches, it was very solid/consolidated. All of this will be very slow to melt once we do start to warm up, and who knows when that will be or how big our base will be by then.
MossMan
I had to take the main road back up to our neighbors place to drop off his tractor since there was no way I was making it back up through his property...even with a 4wd tractor. Anyway here is what the roads looked like this morning...not many people out and about. 2 Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. Popular Post Jesse
If the same type of event was impacting PDX and the Willamette Valley instead of SEA then TWC wouldn’t give a s**t. To them Oregon may as well be Siberia.I think us southern posters have done pretty well keeping whining and jealousy to a minimum too. Same certainly can’t be said about northerners reaction to the relatively localized 1/10/17 event. We have some good karma coming our way now.

Katzen
Its complete insanity in North Bend. We just got out and are in Issaquah in beautiful rain. Then to hotel by airport... and then Hawaii. It is so claustrophobic in North Bend. Our road down is a tunnel with cars abandoned in places. They are just mounds of course. Got to down I-90 exit and there semis stuck everywhere. State patrol trying to coordinate but it's just so deep in the roads. Really thought we might not make it out. We went by the entrance to the neighborhood right off exit 31 and it was not plowed at all. Had to be over 2 feet deep in the road with cars abandoned everywhere and people were just standing around. Going to be a slow recovery. My daughter is staying with a friend in North Bend and sent me this pic, I guess I won't be seeing her for a bit - enjoy Hawaii!!
Tenochtitlan
There's "only" 8-9 inches on the ground here (I just say "only" in comparison to Port Angeles, Kitsap Peninsula, and so on). It's the most snow I've ever seen in Bellingham though. Spent the morning sledding and trying to snowboard with my roommates. It's the perfect amount of snow: not so much as to cause too many problems, especially since the city has done a great job of plowing and sanding the main roads, but enough to make things look about as wintry as possible.

Brennan
15.5” since Super Bowl Sunday. We got 7” of new snow since yesterday here in Glenhaven. SilverFallsAndrew
I don't really think its totally a matter of things collapsing down here (Today's system notwithstanding), I think W. Washington absolutely scored about as much as possible out of this pattern and W. Oregon achieved about one would expect... In other words we left a lot on the table. Hard to say -5 to -8 departures through the first 11 days of the month is collapsing. Just we absolutely everything broke right for Seattle.
