Is it too warm for snow here or is it just that we're shadowed?

I didn't check temps up there yet, but I think its just not a ton of precip once you get up into your area...

Yeah no. Another push of cold air behind it with the blocking ridge actually expanding again at day 10.

Next week on the EURO looks absolutely fantastic. Cool crisp late winter weather, with improving sun angles and longer days. SIGN ME UP.

The 12z GFS ensembles were cooler longer, looks like as we get to about the 25th the ensembles diverge into two camps. One suggesting warmer temps, the other keeping us in the same general pattern.

Still snowing. 33.4 degrees. Got my driveway cleared. As much snow as we have, my neighbors at 700ft (they are straight up from our property, we are at 520ft) have nearly a foot more than we do and nothing has come off the trees while chunks have been falling from my trees.

This is some historic stuff going on without a doubt!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Finally see the end of the front. Hope it doesn’t fall apart completely.

Yeah a likely progression seems to be a drier more northerly flow for you guys.

At this point I'm rooting for us all to stay cold through the end of month to make this month even more historic region wide.

It all depends on where that ridge sets up--whether it stays offshore or sets up above us.

Up to 34 degrees now and wet snow coming down - have lost track of measurements, but what you see in the driveway is roughly the last 48 hours.

No plows here since yesterday, so the snowmobile you see on the road is one way the neighborhood is getting around, that and 4WD, ATVs and quads... none of which we have

Yeah, at face value the EURO would keep Washington on a historic pace and help nudge some areas in Oregon down a bit. Even a 45/25 day at EUG is about a -8 or -9 departure.

The Euro really hasn't handled our weather over the last week very well.  Seems the GFS has been pretty much on the money.  Not sure what to think right now about next week.

I notice the Dudlee Hill cam at 700' west of Corvallis has seen a temp drop of 6 degrees in the past couple hours to 35. Murphy Hill west of Salem now down to 33.

Y'all up north are lucky also in that you won't have to worry about yellowjackets being as much of a problem.  They will be horrific this next summer/fall as there hasn't been a sub-freezing high or any significant long-lasting snowcover down here since 16-17.  They have gotten worse every year since then.

Still snowing. I could see my mounds of snow lasting into March at this rate!

Driveway is dug out. Pics don’t do it justice just how steep my driveway is, not a good situation if I don’t dig it out.

Oh and power was only out for about a minute luckily.

I don't think the daffodils will be making an appearance at Tim's place for awhile

Surprisingly... they will probably be just fine.

Just won't see them for a few weeks.    :)

The Klamath Falls 3.4 ESE (OR-KL-5) station had a little more snow than me this month, as well as for the season it appears.

But usually the difference is negligible. In the 2016-2017 season both this station and my place were only 0.10" apart (62.9" there vs. 63" here)

Cold pattern still going strong for at least the next two weeks.610temp.new.gif814temp.new.gif

Are you sure that purple is not supposed to be dark red base on the last 5 years or so?  Mother nature has decided to start making up for it.  I don't ever remember seeing something like that since I started looking at these 10 years or so ago.
