Requiem
I think us southern posters have done pretty well keeping whining and jealousy to a minimum too. Same certainly can’t be said about northerners reaction to the relatively localized 1/10/17 event. We have some good karma coming our way now. I still find it incredibly annoying the TWC or any mainstream channel didn't do at least some sort of coverage or analysis of that event. It was really cool, even from a national standard, and though I think the Seattle snowstorms this year are better it was still a unique event that deserved some sort of coverage. It was really cool, even from a national standard, and though I think the Seattle snowstorms this year are better it was still a unique event that deserved some sort of coverage. To be fair it wasn't as well forecasted and didn't impact nearly as large of an area. Plus Seattle just has a bigger media market.
chinook
I agree. I am actively working hard not to have a meltdown. I was totally fine with everything until today when this anafront situation completely busted. I keep telling myself I have 23" this month and may have more when its all said and done, but it's still difficult. Seeing the EURO weeklies Brian posted would usually get me excited, but at this point I'm just wondering if it means more disappointment. i was disappointed too. on the other hand the trade off is the kids are not missing school which they would have needed to make up as a tack on in June. we had a couple of inches on Saturday for them to enjoy that day as well as Sunday morning before the melt. plus its an easy drive up to the mountains. joelgombiner
With heavy cold rain on 3-6 inches of snow, Seattle sidewalks are under an inch or more of compacted, water-logged snow, ice, and slush.
