Looking at past cases of significant early to mid October cold snaps 1985 and 1949 are really good fits. Both had similar 500mb progressions and the classic two piece surface high complex with half over the NE Pacific and half over Western Canada. Given the results of those two events we should have a shot at seeing max temps in the upper 40s in some places over the next couple of day with lows mid 20s to low 30s. Maybe a low 20s sneaking in somewhere.

I'll take a combo of those 2 winters.

Was just perusing the Fox12 blog and it looks like there will be a guest speaker this year extending the OMSI meeting to 3 hours. I am wondering who it may be? Anybody have a guess? Who wants to have some beers after.

This is what make me angry about my area. CZ dissipates as it approaches Federal Way from the North then reform just to the south,......peeeeesseeess me off

But I’m sure the Arctic front will oblige me with something

not over yet, still more moving SE off the Olympics.

You then stated my objection to your remark about genocide as a "half-assed selective history lesson" like you are in a position to debate me on this issue. I get it. You think Trump is the end of the world. I hate the man. I want him to drop dead, but if, as you instruct me to do and "consider what affects me the most"... I guess I do not give a sh*t who wins. Local elections affect me far more.
