Jesse
If you have never been, it is an amazing place. Daughter and I were there last August. Make sure you take a day to make the trip over State Hwy 120(Tioga Pass). You won't regret that eitherMissed this earlier. I have been before, but it’s been about nine years! This will be the significant other’s first time there, though. Definitely planning to go over Tioga and through Tuolumne Meadows.
TT-SEA
The GFS is off its rocker on this one. Go with a CMC/ECMWF blend. They handle dateline MJO/CCKW transits a million times better than the GooFuS. I have a post to bump in 6 days. And the GEM looks just like the GFS now. Definitely planning to go over Tioga and through Tuolumne Meadows.I'm not one to get spiritual over natural geography being a native of Oregon, but there is something really emotional about the granite and the shear immensity. I was in awe, standing at the base of El Capitan and simply putting my hands on the base of 3000 feet of nearly vertical rock. It is certainly a special place

Omegaraptor
ECMWF roasts California. Even the far northern parts just a couple hundred miles away.
