Do you have some type of short term memory loss that involves re-discovering PNW climo every other week? Kind of like 50 first dates except Drew Barrymore has made up family in Everett.

Who tf is drew barrymore?

And 58 as the warmest low is still surprising to me. Low 50s most mornings I was there and that was under a trough.

Don’t worry Jess, days are shortening more quickly each day. The scary part is almost over.

How is what you experienced during your trip even remotely scary?   Bunch of Karens who like to make fun of other people being Karens.  😀

This summer has been gorgeous.   PNW at its finest.   Ahead is that part that could get ugly with smoke and fires.

My area does a pretty good job at cooling off at night especially if there’s clear skies. Despite hitting at least 80 the first four days of the month the lows here were 49 on the 1st, 50 on the 2nd, and 52 on the 3rd and 4th.

With the smoke it looks like we hopefully won't make it to 90F today.

Gotta hope the gfs is right about the rain extending all the way down into the willamette valley next week. Euro has a lot less rainfall and keeps it mostly in Washington closer to climo.

Sadly that one’s kind of an easy call.

Its has been cloudy and gloomy the entire trip so far... with occasional light rain and sprinkles.    Amazingly consistent weather over hundreds of miles.

Currently in Butte where its cloudy and only 62.

While we’re on the topic, this was the monster storm that produced 80-90mph winds here on 7/29. At this point the storm was on the other side of the Chesapeake Bay over 60 miles away, but cloud tops were insanely high, well over 60,000ft. So it was still visible. Camera doesn’t give the best perspective on the height but it’s way up there.

For reference, this was taken exactly 9:05pm, ~ 45mins after sunset (almost 5 hours since the storm left). But the top of that cloud was still illuminated. 😶

Looks like we got to 88F. Had some clouds around but ultimately stayed dry.

Nice night. Should be some good stars along with the moon.
