That is the type of situation that could lie dormant waiting for low humidity and wind and then spring to life seemingly out of nowhere.   Hope they really douse that 1/4 of an acre!

Something similar at SEA with their 70+ streak currently only second to 2017.   

There has been almost endless consistent warmth out here in my area this summer... but only a few days of miserable heat.

Same here. I went out on the porch around 230a and it was very breezy and surprisingly warm.

70+ is a substantially lower bar than 85+ for PDX, though. SEA averages well above that for about 3 months straight.

80+ would be much more comparable for SEA.

Really hope that Monday-Tuesday deliver some thunderstorms for here in the Puget Sound Region after the miss out today but also bring more moisture. Also closest lightning detected to my location was 7.6 miles away at south end of McChord Airfield just one. 74-76° right now here

The 70+ is a consecutive streak though.  Someone could do the analysis on total 75+ or 80+ days.   No idea where that stands.

Pearson has become quite the little cold spot since they tweaked it a few years ago. Used to be a consistent overachiever, but then I remember during the late December 2021 cold snap it ran remarkably (inaccurately) cold. Making up for lost time.

ECMWF shows 68 at SEA on Tuesday.   I think the 70+ streak will fall just short of the record set in 2017.

Not many days when its in the 60s at noon and 80s by 2 p.m.

Last week North Bend had 91, 96, 98, 98, 93 over a 5-day span.   It was not pleasant.

Oh gotcha...yeah, kind of a different thing since it's consecutive and certainly impressive, but doesn't reflect actual summer warmth like the 85+ thing for PDX.

imo 95 isn't that bad but once it reaches 100 it really limits one's ability to do things outside.

85+ is my limit honestly hate when it gets above 75° my preference temperature range is 65-75° under 65° I complain how cool-cold it is outside and above 75° I complain it's to warm-hot. 70° is spot on perfect I can deal with that daily.

Trying to figure how to get a graph based on a parameter like total days at 75+ at SEA.   I can get consecutive lists but can't replicate what @RentonHill created for PDX for total days at 85+.

Mark was talking about how the GRAF model was coming in with only a high of 82 on Sunday at PDX. That man needs to have a pod every day.

90 burgers currently at SLE and PDX. Looks like it's 82 at Silver Falls with light NW winds, so at least any fire should be moving away from my house at the moment.

Looks like 5 new fires on the lee side of the Oregon Coast Range from Lane County up to southern Polk County.

I ran total days above 75 degrees at SEA... 1967 and 2015 are on top of the list with 84 days.

So far 2023 is at 70 days but that assumes its updated daily and I am including today.    That is good enough for 12th of the list and its only August 25th.   Going to close the gap over the next few days and probably again later next week.  

SEA only needs 15 more days above 75 degrees for the rest of the year to beat the record.

Today is probably the nastiest day of smoke season so far. First time this year I can remember stepping outside, looking down the street, and seeing visible haze in the air in the same block.
