How did the midweek system look on the overnight models, any snow maps out there in map land?

Not good for snow.   Looks like a period of freezing rain is possible though.   ECMWF and EPS are showing upper levels too warm for snow but temps in the low 30s at the surface when it starts.   But it also shows Monday in the low 40s in Seattle and 06Z ECMWF even showed Seattle getting up to around 40 in the morning on Tuesday  again and then down to 32  when the precip arrives.

Yeah, that's why it's nice to have live reports from local weenies.

I wouldn't be awake for the last couple of hours if i wasn't a weenie. I thought there was a slight chance of a snowflake falling and there was no way I was going to miss it. Turned out to be a turd sandwich.

I wonder if I should just cancel  my visit to Salem, freezing rain isn't fun to drive in even with traction tires and H4

Snow depth at my home (updated March 27th): none

Is it sleet right now? The chances aren't great that it ever turns to snow that far south IMO.

I think its sleet but I don't really know, tripcheck cams aren't very high res. Seems hard to imagine there could be 19 degree zr

Looks like my low will be 9.0 degrees. Wind picked up and we are up to 12.9. It’s over.

That's fun!  🤮  Hopefully you didn't get any water damage to your place.  Got down to 5 up here in the Britton Rd area, and is up to 7 right now.

Based on radar there will definitely be radar returns overhead here the way the systems moving in. Whether that amounts to anything on the ground in pierce and thurston counties is yet to be determined.

NWS AFD mentioned flakes in the air as far north as Tacoma. So we’ll see.

If it's currently sleet in the mid valley and stays that way for another hour, it seems unlikely it will convert to zr. I'm probably just wishcasting...

If  the front does indeed stall, should increase the chance for a decent deformation band to scoot north.

Definitely think that’ll happen. Overall just gotta hope the models are under doing it in our area. Just 0.01”-0.02” of precip not shown would be high ratio snowfall that wouldn’t melt at all.

Snowing at negative zero temperatures in Oregon happens all the time. Yawn. 😏

If it were me I would certainly cancel. Even if you made it to Salem safely, it wouldn’t be worth the white knuckle driving and stress. Sit back and enjoy while SR gets nuked.

Wow, I'll see no snow at my house with this. I wonder what my sleet accumulation will be assuming there's no ZR when this is all said in done.

Holy moly, hit 13 last night, sitting at 14 right now with 20 mph winds and light snow falling. A -2 windchill at some point last night. Just astounded. 600’ in SW hills. Exciting day ahead!

Holding out hope for a dusting in the South Sound.

I know Tim will be pounding away today showing me how it likely won't happen.

Just the charts and the maps, I know.

I have been saying it would trend north but don't think that was right now.

Got down to 9.9*F at about 1:30am. Now sitting at 15.4*F and the pipes in our wellhouse have frozen up, even though there are TWO space heaters in there..... No water! :(

Can you, and anyone else talking about their backyard, add your location?
