Gorgeous sunset from Mt Tabor park. Lots of big, downed trees on the north and east side of the park from our ARCTIC WINDS three weeks ago. But honestly the damage wasn’t quite as bad as I feared. I guess the historic shelter took a pretty good hit but that part of the park was cordoned off.
I was intrigued so I looked up the average high and low temperatures across WA for August of 1899. Olga's average low of 45F is pretty impressive as it's about 4 degrees colder than anything we've seen in the last 50 years. The fact it's so much colder than every other location on the west side does make me wonder if there was an error with the thermometer at that time or maybe it was just incredible cold winds blowing off the straight.
The Seattle average high for the month was almost 10 d
My wife and I liked Burgum during the debates but he's certainly not the most charismatic person out there. He's also not black or a woman, which, let's be honest, the VP slot is an identity politics play more than any other spot in politics. The only reason Burgum would be chosen is he has very deep pockets, which Trump desperately needs as he tries to fight going broke before the majority of his trials even start.
Tim Scott is the leading contender in my opinion. Trump has gushed over how much he loves that Scott defends him, including with the whole cringe-inducing "I just love Trump!" bit shortly after Scott dropped out of the race. Scott has his lips planted firmly to Trump's ass and that is priority number one for any VP pick.
The official H/L yesterday at Grand Rapids was 74/40 there was a trace of rainfall. The sun was out 91% of the possible time. All in all a great spring day. For today the average H/L is 69/48 the record high of 86 was set in 1982,1991 and 2022 the record low of 27 was set in 1946. Last year the H/L was 73/59.
Here in MBY I had 0.04” of rainfall overnight and the overnight low here was 58. At the current time it is cloudy and 64.
Looking forward to seeing some storm action later this afternoon/evening... @OttumwaSnomow @Clinton @Hoosier you ready boys!
This system is the Spring version of a Colorado Low Bowling Ball...
I was watching the visible satellite imagery and noticed how milky it looked behind the CF and was wondering if that was indeed smoke. Seems kinda early for fire season.
