Gorgeous sunset from Mt Tabor park. Lots of big, downed trees on the north and east side of the park from our ARCTIC WINDS three weeks ago. But honestly the damage wasn’t quite as bad as I feared. I guess the historic shelter took a pretty good hit but that part of the park was cordoned off.

I was intrigued so I looked up the average high and low temperatures across WA for August of 1899. Olga's average low of 45F is pretty impressive as it's about 4 degrees colder than anything we've seen in the last 50 years. The fact it's so much colder than every other location on the west side does make me wonder if there was an error with the thermometer at that time or maybe it was just incredible cold winds blowing off the straight. The Seattle average high for the month was almost 10 d

I had a close-ish call with a tree during a windstorm in Oregon in 2011. Was driving the Sunset Highway from the coast back to Portland as a storm was passing through. Saw the wind break the top off a big fir tree ahead of me. Wind carried it across the highway and into the forest on the other side.

That’s really nice to see. Maybe I won’t get completely skunked like the Hi Res models are showing. I remember during Feb 2021 the Hi Res models were showing me getting like 2-4” of snow and I ended up with 10” by the end of the event.

My wife is getting an imaginary 6 inches tonight due to both of us still getting over this covid BS!!  If we can get 6 inches of snow though, I will be happy lol!!

Today overpreformed a bit from the Euro, so those 5 inches better overpreform too! I ain't happy with this system unless my snow depth ends up above 10". We need 6 more!
