You all already know my spot is super warm so it shouldn't be surprising to anyone that I'm stuck at 37 degrees. About to get a heavier shower so maybe I'll get some chunky rain. I need perfect timing of a heavier shower around 4 AM to get anything to stick tonight.

And this pattern is more likely this time of year than in December since the 850s are 2 C colder on average this time of year than at the solstice.

Yeah we just had like 8 lows below 15 at SLE in January 1974. I'm not actually sure, but I think they hit single digits with no snow cover. BLAST.

The first half of Jan was ok, but not much snow.

ECMWF and control run have been hinting at that set up as well.   Getting a sense this winter might go out with a bang.

It is actually tabulated by season.  July through June.
