Just telling you what the doctor said when reviewing the x-ray and MRI images.   I have never had any knee issues... now I will be dealing with this for the rest of my life because it will never be the same.

It was from a height about 4 feet and stool was starting to tip over.

It looked like this one... top step is at about 48 inches.   I didn't feel like it was a big deal when I jumped.

I would imagine you can do plenty of damage to a healthy knee falling from 4feet.  Dr Phil, may not have realized you were 4 feet high.

It couldn't have been that bad....I mean if you took a misstep off your roof from 200 feet up while working on the weather station attached to your chimney.....*maybe*

In all fairness, the Euro ensambles were very uncertain, with more than 60% of members showing rain for Friday (I'm using that as the comparison, since I've paid more attention to it).

68 also seems a little aggressive.

Our waitress tonight moved to Charleston from Denver.   She did not have good things to say about July and August here.

having grown up in it, locals there are use to it but it still sucks in the dog days of summer.  having been on the west coast in CA and WA for the past 15 years I can't tolerate it anymore and go home to visit between October and April.  Having said that, my wife wants to move back to the southeast soon.  I'm trying to at least convince her the Appalachians over the coast, we'll see

Kind of sucks that next weekend's trough appears to be trending towards sliding into OR/CA entirely. Before it looked like it would at least send a deformation band into the Seattle area, now it appears we will remain under weak ridging.

Models have kind of been all over the place with that setup. I’d say a few more days before the dust settles.

That system Wednesday night has hardly wavered across guidance and continues to look like a regional soaker...the second in a week. Pretty surprising considering how poorly put-together of a system it is. Just lots of near-saturated air and a barely defined low.

This spinny low thing is pretty well defined. Nice rain event on tap tonight for Everett south. Pretty undermodeled.

Heavy rain has quickly cooled things off to the dewpoint here in Lake City. 41/40 spread, with the sound of pouring water outside and radar continuing to fill in further. Feels like Christmas. Keep it comin', baby, keep it green into August!

06Z ECMWF shows significantly more afternoon sun for the Seattle area the next 4 days compared to this past weekend (06Z run only goes through Thursday afternoon).

Also shows the system tomorrow and now the system on Thursday coming in to the south mainly through Oregon.   The Tuesday system trended south a couple days ago in the models and now Thursday is trending the same way.

Yeah, July and August in that part of the country is beyond brutal, and I'm sure it is a shock for someone from Denver.  You hope for a sea breeze or some thunderstorms in the afternoon, you *usually* get one or the other but if you don't...ugh.  And inland you obviously don't get the sea breeze, so you just suffer.

I almost drowned as a toddler, so it took me a looong time to learn how to swim, but once I did (I was 7 or  8 I think) I lived in the pool in the summer time.  When I worked agriculture in the summers as a teenager, I stayed with my half brother's dad, and he had a pool, and that was the first place we went after working outside all day.

Pool is a requirement if/when we move back. preferably already installed, but if not, enough land to put one in thats private and not viewable to the neighbors. wife is already searching zillow, oof

Been a crazy two days in tornado 🌪️ country !  Watches and warnings galore! Sad thing is these storms keep showing up right at dusk and into the night :(

Hopefully this week we’re able to hit some of these storms on the road during daylight hours! Here’s a couple pictures from last night in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The cell in the background was percolating, but never dropped a tornado. It’s been a fun experience thus far regardless. Tons of lightning

I heard conservatives are flocking to SC, they even have real estate companies catering to this niche. Sounds like you’ll really fit in.

Yeah I heard that Texas and Florida are now completely saturated with people due to the big migration from the blue states…It’s now SC’s turn!
Back to the weather…It’s cold still! 39 degrees!
