April Weather in the Pacific Northwest

It might get close if certain people were on here telling you it was not hot and actually quite cold... and that its perfectly normal for it to be hot anyways.

I think Farmboy and Mr. Marine layer have made statements similar to this.

What an impressive end to this record breaking heat wave we have endured! Today PDX hit 86 and was the hottest day of the heat wave. We tied the record set back in 2004. 3 straight days of 80s in April is very impressive. Looks like there is potential for another significant warm spell starting around a week from now.

82 for a high at KLMT, just under the record of 83 in 1987.

It definitely looked like there was gonna be a thunderstorm, but never got one. If this frog has to wait any longer for a rumble it's going to start oppressing all the other wildlife or something.

Or some downsloping?

Lol, it wasn’t 90 degrees in North Bend.

I always deduct ~ 5*F from Tim’s temperature observations. Otherwise his warm bubble would require a separate climate zone.

It was 87 in Gold Bar today so I don’t think his temp was that far off.

Did you hear me complaining about how much worse the weather was in my area for most of the first half of April?   You mock me for complaining when its much worse in the foothills (this is often the case)... and then mock me for reporting when its warmer (often the case with offshore flow).  Both are reality.

Keep adding to the crap and troll some more... good job Andy! I said it was 88 or 89 in North Bend. That actually happened. It looks like 88.6 was the actual high.

So important to bank as much rain as possible this time of year. Then we can enjoy our dry warm summers without guilt.

Done!

I doubt anyone in the Seattle area will feel any guilt.    :)

We’ll find out soon, because one of my cousins is moving to North Bend next month, and I’m going to set up a weather station for her when I’m out there this summer. So I’ll be able to fact-check your temperature obs. ;)

And I know how to site a weather station. Trust me, it won’t be an over-exposed roast job.

BTW, I’ve never reported dewpoints in the 90s or 200mph winds (or even 100mph winds, haha). But you’re constantly reporting snowpacks sustaining in 50*F weather, record shattering rainfalls every week, and you literally brag about your regional suicide rates. So..pot calling the kettle black, and all that.

Tim lives up the hill from north bend so you’re fact checking weather station will be useless. Most of the observations he posts seem pretty legit to me.
