bud2380
Nearly 2” right now. Snowing very lightly right now but stronger returns aren’t far away. I’d think 3-4” is very reasonable here

Stormy
A 5.10" snow report near Washington, Ia. which is only about 15 miles south of me. Meanwhile only around 2.50" here so far, but getting decent flake size and moderate snow currently. Think it fell pretty much continuously since it began late last evening.

Tom
light snow starting to fallI’m seeing some repeats of less than 1 mile visibility out by you and W/SW of the city. Some healthy looking returns ever so slowly migrating northward.
Minny_Weather
Yeah I think we're getting closer and closer to the end here. Dry air is pushing Southward and into our returns. ToastedRavs
Finally got some good flakes and low vis just SW of Des Moines. About 3.3" so far. Hoping we can get to 5", which is within reason and was the consensus amongst Hrrr last night. Let it snow and Go Liverpool! Sadly, the pub isn't in the cards for the match this morning.
shakjen
Snowing pretty good the last hour. Up to about 2.5” already. Didn’t get much before 6:00am
bud2380
HRRR and 3k NAM both showing 3-4" more here. I think that's a tad over done, but I think 4" is looking very likely, if we get some heavier bursts we could hit 5". No complaints here given the winter we've had.

After writing this one off as another dry air disaster around here last night, I am glad I was wrong. hlcater
2.3" in my yard at 11am.I don't think this gradient is gonna be nearly as sharp as some models said it was going to be. The dry air was weaker and as a result, there's a much larger fan of lighter snow to the north. Meanwhile, much of Linn County is in a bit of a lull at the moment. Hopefully it fills back in. 2 Quote 2021-22 Snowfall: (Hiawatha) TOTAL: 10.2" (12/28: 3.0") (12/29: 0.8") (1/1: 6.4")
