jaster220
Schools closed again. Make that 8 out of last 10. 40-50 mph winds with ice on trees tonight could make tomorrow another closing. Stormgeek
Looking for 6-10 here according to the point along with the winter storm warning. Would hate to be one of the mets that essentially halved their totals to like 3 inches total on the news cycle last night... Only 1 local met really called for this dumping. Incredibleout there right now!

westMJim
With this mornings 2nd ice storm in the last 2 days there are now a reported 130,000 with out power at this time much of the city of Grand Rapids has lost power. There are reports of many trees (and of course wires down) the wind has picked up a little here and the ice is now falling off the trees. Would your total snow fall to date be above average after you tally up both systems this week?I haven’t measured since about 11am and it’s still snowing. Assuming we end with about 7-8” (maybe more?) that would put me about 5” below normal for the season. Heck of a comeback in a short amount of time, with still a locked and loaded pattern for the next week or so to possibly pick up more snow. MNtonka and Stormgeek you guys close to that? MNtonka is only a few miles from me so I assume totals are close to mine.

Iowawx
I would say we got about 0.15" of ice here from this storm. We did have some snow on the backside of the storm once temperatures began to plummet, but the wind makes it hard to measure. Probably around 0.5" or so. The wind has been relentless on the backside of this storm. Highest guest in CR so far is 41mph.

East Dubzz
Looks like Dubuque reported freezing rain of .20” a little before 9am, and we did get some additional ice after that. Probably ended around 0.25”, also with a trace of snowfall. Given the ice, a little snow, and strong winds, I’m a little surprised the DVN only had a winter weather advisory. Nevertheless, it is what it is. Not great conditions out there, and untreated roads are just a sheet of ice. But the main roads are fine, at least as far as I could tell.
