hlcater
Interested in chance for a tornado or two in E IA tomorrow. Pacific front/acting dryline should initiate showers/storms that could produce tornadoes as they cross the warm front/pinched warm sector. Classic cold core. As such, the ceiling of the event depends on clearing/destabilization. There’s no shortage of shear though, so that shouldn’t be an issue. HRRR has been illustrating this potential fairy well. Tom
As our focus remains on the historic Blizzard raging across the Plains and Upper Midwest, there are Back-to-Back Cutters in the works next week starting this Sun/Mon and again mid/late next week as our Sub Forum continues to be the highlight region of interest in the foreseeable future. Last nights 00z EPS starting to look more interesting for those of us in the MW/GL's who want to see some more Spring Snow (or not). This may not be the last chance of seeing repeated wintry systems this month as the colder pattern is pretty much locked in across the majority of our Sub. I'm beginning to wonder if it will snow across the norther tier for Easter this year which comes a bit late this year (21st). The likelihood of it being rather cold for the holiday is high.
