Meanwhile the sun continues to be flat lined.  The period since May has been quieter than any 6+ month period during the last minimum.  Looking at this minimum and the last one combined you have to go back to the Dalton minimum to find a deeper back to back minimum.

I should have limited my statement to Washington. It does appear that Tillamook will likely get creamed and areas from about Kelso (or more likely Portland) southward in the interior will get quite a bit of rain. #wawx

Tons of potential before this month is over.  The GFS ensemble has the EPO and WPO both crashing in combination with a persistent -PNA as we enter week 2.  The EPS gets a bit hung up with too much troughing over the SW and off the coast of CA which kind of messes things up for the NW.  At least things are going the right way.
