BLI snowman
I’ll have to look deeper into the climate there, I guess. SnowSquall’s reference to a summer with 34 days at/above 90° the other day spooked me a little. 34 is actually the fewest 90+ days that Portland has ever seen in a summer. Most years have 55+.
Omegaraptor
Just looked through the list of +QBO winters since 1951 that were also solidly Niña. Bold is first year Niña, italic is solar minimum. I get:2016-172010-112008-091999-001995-961975-761971-721964-651955-56 The only real bad ones here were 1999-00 (PV fuckup near solar max) and 1975-76 (which was a rare third year Niña).

I guess if your whole life is just golfing every day then it does not matter. Its just bad luck... hopefully the 4th of July weekend breaks the streak. Not sure who golfs everyday on here but your Timplaining is definitely prevalent lately whether you agree or not.
