BLI snowman
I suppose 1988 is a good PNW winter analog. What about 1872/73? We’re tied with that year right now. Frontloaded. We had a nice November/December.
Jesse
Today still managed to pull off a -2 at PDX thanks to the cool low. Could be our last negative departure day in a little while, assuming models don’t beef up the shortwave later this week all that much. BLI snowman
Buzz kill. To Phil's point however, if tomorrow does do it then there's no telling how much they could shatter the record by. Sky's the limit. Hopefully they get some 100+ days in there to at least mix it up a bit.

VancouverIslandSouth
How far above the horizon? Probably only about 10 degrees above the NW horizon, I just went out and checked again and can't see it anymore. It looks like it will get higher in the horizon up to July 23rd so should be plenty more viewing opportunities.
