Why would it be cold in a t-shirt and shorts?    And "smoked a bowl" is a gross term.

I wasn’t saying it was cold. I was just saying that the rain felt nice as it was falling on me. And if you don’t smoke I guess you could see how it’s a gross term lol. I don’t smoke tobacco at least.

.11 here so far... less than I had hoped.   Wish that back edge would slow down.

Not enough forcing south of I-90. I was hoping a shower would drop a quick tenth or two but it wasn't in the cards. I expected it but I'm still disappointed. Great to see all that rain to our north and west, it was desperately needed.

It hit 70F today due to a TRAGIC overperformance. Tomorrow we count casualties, survey damage, and assess a plan moving forward.

If it's any consolation... its 63 at SEA now in the middle of the front with rain falling and less than an hour from nightfall.    In retrospect there was never a chance of a sub-60 day.   Despite GFS promises.

Its like a heavy wet blanket...I see waves of rainy mist being blown around. wonderful!

Very much like a winter front in terms of a low ceiling and heavy mist and breezy.

Stormy looking skies along with Sick Phil…Doesn’t get any better than that!
And a snake I surprised when turning on the hose bib.

Lucky! I love Garter Snakes. There used to be a beautiful snake which looked almost identical, one that lived in Cannon Beach and would sun itself on the edge of a concrete walking path. It was very predictable and could often be found in the same place at the same time of day and only in the summer.

They do so much good. Hopefully your dog doesn't try to attack it.

I wish we had snakes near my house, although that would mean we'd probably have a rodent issue.

Yeah luckily the dogs tend to leave the snakes alone and concentrate their efforts (well this one mostly) on mice and moles! I have lost count but it has been a lot!

The back side of the band has just completely fallen apart.    Its basically over for Seattle now and will be over here soon.

In the meantime its really coming down hard now and up to .25 on the day.

Blue sky overhead. 0.05” is my final total. Looks like 0.08” is the official tally at the airport.

F*ck me!  I left the house there was .08” in the rain gauge, came home to 1.04” in the rain gauge.  Came away absolutely soaked to the core but I got a clean sheet with a 4-0 final.  Defense started doing a lot more pass-backs than usual so I could keep somewhat active/warm.  A little tougher to hang in those conditions at 51 as compared to 15 years ago when I started playing.

It dumped on the drive out then settled down until about 20 minutes into the game then all hell broke loose.  Stopped raining with about 2-3 minutes left in the match.

I am sure many people agree on that term.    I picture Beavis and Butthead when someone says "smoked a bowl".

Spectacular sunset in Seattle per the Space Needle cam... day started with front moving in and ends with it moving out.   And somehow still managed to get to 73 in between.

they actually get moles??

He does! He has caught at least 6 so far this year that I have witnessed, but I’m sure he has caught more that I haven’t seen.

Something is happening to the east. We watched a nice thunderstorm pass to our East moving NE from the south and have seen five flashing vehicles rushing past going towards Clarkston. Tstorm was about fifteen minutes or so. Not directly overhead.

Significant overperformance compared to model consensus for your locale. And you were worried about getting skunked earlier!

Had some decent enhancement from Rattlesnake Ridge with the main front with SW flow hitting the NW-SE orientated ridge at a favorable angle.    Still raining lightly and up to .48 now.    I am very happy with how this evening played out.   The front held together just long enough to get out here.

Dewpoint shot up this evening... its 61 here with a dewpoint of 61 and still misting pretty good in a wonderfully soupy air mass.   No wind at all.

Dewpoint is almost 60 at SEA as well.

Fire was started by lightning but per my neighbors who know everything (they had an app) the fire department extinguished it right away. I loved watched the storms roll to the east with my wife. Son watched for about 5 mins before he got bored.

Decent band of rain (maybe convection) across SE WA heading towards @LowerGarfield.

It was really nice and cleared out the smoke at least for now. Had some light sprinkles. You get some nice echos off the palouse too. I know you don't get many t-storms on the west side, but I bet you get some nice rumbles with all those mountains.

We had some interesting sheet lightning, mostly cloud based. In between 73/74F now. Quite pleasant. All fire trucks are back home.
