TT-SEA
On the hour at 1 p.m. SEA is still running +5 compared to yesterday (88 vs 83). That would put the high today at 94. Front Ranger
Sadly, it sounds like the Lahaina death toll will be easily in the triple digits. Officially 96 as of now. TT-SEA
Snoqualmie Pass is at 93. Much higher elevation than my backyard and it's even warmer there. @Phil you waaaaaaaay overestimate the cooling effect of elevation on these warm summer days. Being only 500 feet higher than SEA at my house has no impact. But being 30 miles away from the cooling effect of the Sound has a significant impact. I remember the commemorations of the Great Chicago Fire in 1971. Then we went on our annual summer vacation to the Upper Peninsula, and passed through Peshtigo on our way there. And interestingly enough, Peshtigo was having its own set of Great Fire commemorations that year. Can’t view your link. Might be geo-blocked from outside the USA. Anyhow, so far as I know, the Peshtigo Fire is clearly the deadliest forest fire in US history. It killed more people than the Great Chicago Fire did. Quote It's called clown range for a reason.
