BFI looks like it moved locations slightly with their switch to ASOS in 1998 (this is also a helpful resource for checking out the physical histories of different stations if you ever have questions).

However, the missing data from 1965 to 1998 is kind of inexplicable. The airport was still recording and reporting throughout that era. They even managed a 5'er in December 1990!

Wow, thanks for linking that! That is a treasure trove of information.

Hit 75F here a around 11:30pm and hasn't budged upward yet.  I expect it too, but it hasn't.

91 here right now... same in North Bend.  16 degrees warmer than your location.

@Phil it's almost like Everett is very close to a cold body of water and North Bend is not.    I will research further.

Snoqualmie Pass is at 93.   Much higher elevation than my backyard and it's even warmer there.

@Phil you waaaaaaaay overestimate the cooling effect of elevation on these warm summer days.    Being only 500 feet higher than SEA at my house has no impact.  But being 30 miles away from the cooling effect of the Sound has a significant impact.

Sucks for you. You’ve got the warmest mountaintop estate in the PNW.

The deadliest forest fire in American history happened in Minnesota in 1918: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloquet_fire

Not even close.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peshtigo_fire

Interestingly, it happened on the same day as the more famous Great Chicago Fire.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Quite a mountaintop location here!  In the Snoqualmie Valley basin and surrounded by actual mountains in every direction and a whopping 500 feet higher than the runways at SeaTac Airport.    Usually we need a sherpa guide to get home.   😀

Ah, hadn't heard of that one. The one I cited was the second deadliest forest fire in history: https://abcnews.go.com/US/maui-wildfire-now-ranks-deadliest-us-history/story?id=102249625#

I’m an old guy and I grew up in the Midwest. I remember the commemorations of the Great Chicago Fire in 1971. Then we went on our annual summer vacation to the Upper Peninsula, and passed through Peshtigo on our way there. And interestingly enough, Peshtigo was having its own set of Great Fire commemorations that year.

Can’t view your link. Might be geo-blocked from outside the USA.

Anyhow, so far as I know, the Peshtigo Fire is clearly the deadliest forest fire in US history. It killed more people than the Great Chicago Fire did.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Only 92 here... happily missing out on the downslope component happening along the coast.

But I am in a unique location on the very top of a mountain that is also somehow at the base of the mountains.  Very confusing.   🤨

Soccer is going to suck tonight.  The league cancels games when the heat index hits 91 as projected on the NWS forecast page for the zipcode where the field is.  Its currently projected to be 89.

Currently 87 IMBY.
