When the flow is “offshore” they generally still get a cool NW wind down the strait. Like today. It’s only 75 there currently. It is an odd little microclimate, just elevated above the river to our south just enough to maximize heating in the summer (plus downsloping), and in the winter same reasoning different result. Literally in the winter we have been in the upper 20's with heavy snow and 6+ inches on the ground, I drive south and west maybe 2 miles and it could be 32-34 with wet snow mix and a sloppy 2-3 inches of snow, kinda cool.
