Beautiful.

And your area always seems to stay as snow much longer than expected.

Man looking at the radar and the sat pic, we might get dumped on if this can stay snow for the next 8 hrs. I just checked and almost 3 inches already

Obligatory Leavenworth live snow cam.  We're supposed to get 7-12 inches.  I have to watch too as I'm in the Bavarian Alps.  BTW 2 other live cams in Leavenworth if you want a different view

Very crowded!

Wow it is BUSY there! Washington and BC mountains going to get a lot of snow from this system, all we're gonna get is some freezing rain at the start probably, then rain which will melt much of our current snow.

Looking like its going to be dry for a while too. Going to be pretty lame in oregon this month, I guess we still have January...

Bruh…

I thought those goofus snow maps were being posted semi-sarcastically. Wasn’t it doing the same thing all of last winter?

Hey I never called for a dud. But warmer and increasingly ridgy with time seems like a safe bet.

Still, that doesn’t preclude 1 good week embedded in the torch somewhere.

Very true. We ll take any scraps

Awesome morning! Met up with my dog training friends in MT Vernon at 10am, was 41 degrees heavy rain and wind there. Came home around 11:30 and it was 38 and raining so I got back in the truck and made the 25min trek to Lake Cavanaugh. Turned to snow about 3 miles from the lake. Just amazing up there! Then I came home and saw the temp had dropped to 35, and within the last 10 minutes it has turned to snow! No stickage yet.
Anyway here are some Cavanaugh pics!

Hmmm…will have to see how this goes. My main goal right now is avoiding an all time record warm December if possible. Some decent mountain snow would be nice too? But doesn’t look to be in the cards on this EPS run.

You have literally no control over your "goal".    Probably not the best use of the word.   And in your doomsday scenarios the climate is still warming rapidly so how does avoiding the warmest December even matter?   Its an honest question.   Again... just playing out the doomsday outlook.

That would be a little too much for me. I’d rather be there on a random winter Weekday morning at daybreak or after dark heavy snow falling. 🥰

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Maps sure look like early January 2019 right now.   I would not discount this idea.

Just over 4 inches and still moderate snow.  32 degrees. Roads are really bad

You might start running into power issues if that keeps up!
