What's the deal with the WSW saying Portage is gonna get more snow than East Troy and Lake Geneva but forecasts saying the opposite?

Possibly banking on better snow ratios than what models are showing up that way?

Been in the money zone all day. I'm waiting patiently for the winds to kick up and raise snow ratios. Heavy wet 9" of snow and still counting!

Wow, you guys out west did great today… just think 70 miles to your east we only picked up a slushy inch of snow mixed with sleet (stupid thermals again). Hopefully we can pick up a few inches of snow tonight to soften the blow of another miss.

LOT P&C for Poplar Grove is 7-15 potential inches. Gonna be fun to see what unfolds.

Oooo that’s awesome! Is that where you’re from??

Im in Lemont, and as usual, we’re riding along the edge. I think you guys should do amazing though!!

Also, if I’m reading the radar correctly, it looks like the lead band is setting up further southeast than it was supposed to as of the models yesterday — the NAM looks like it’s picked it up too. I was in a small area that picked up about 2” on Saturday, and somehow it’s still on the ground here, so hoping it’ll help maybe? I guess we’ll find out soon! 🤞

That dry slot I bet has eyes for me.  I hope the deformation band delivers I think you will do very well.

Pretty similar to here. Was surprised it caused slide offs around town earlier. I hope defo band does some work tomorrow. I’m more interested in Friday’s storm.

I’m thinking we are going to have some nice drifts. No one from the county will be clearing roads until sometime tomorrow. No travel advised. I’ve had a hard time seeing across the street the last 5 hours.

We've had a band of light to occasionally moderate snowfall sitting over us for the past couple hours or so and it seems to be back-filling. I have to go out and measure new and total snowfall soon.

The wind is still just a light breeze and the sky has that light gray, low ceiling, very socked-in snowfall feel right now. Absolutely love this vibe. Temp sitting at 23 after a high of 25.

Thought I'd never see a forecast like this AGAIN, the way things have been.

I already have 2.1 inches, so it is accumulating efficiently.

I need the temps to drop about 2 degrees so this snow will really start sticking like it’s suppose to!

I read in the AFD that ratios tomorrow morning will run around 15:1
