my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.
I'm going to step back for the day too. It's just too much uninformed nonsense.
I am excited for a lot of you guys, because it seems like this is your first time tracking a PNW winter storm. I remember my first time.
Would be feeling much better about next January’s prospects had this system been a little drier. I greatly prefer rain amounts with a “1” as the numerator.
A lot of flooding around the town my Iowa property is located. Neighbors are checking my basement. So far it's dry and the pump hasn't even kicked on. Im.thinking the water will settle into the ground over the next couple days and the pump will be getting a workout.
I have had over 3/4" of rain now. I'm really surprised given the way this thing dug down from the NW. Normally moisture is much more limited in a case like this.
