Gorgeous sunset from Mt Tabor park. Lots of big, downed trees on the north and east side of the park from our ARCTIC WINDS three weeks ago. But honestly the damage wasn’t quite as bad as I feared. I guess the historic shelter took a pretty good hit but that part of the park was cordoned off.
I was intrigued so I looked up the average high and low temperatures across WA for August of 1899. Olga's average low of 45F is pretty impressive as it's about 4 degrees colder than anything we've seen in the last 50 years. The fact it's so much colder than every other location on the west side does make me wonder if there was an error with the thermometer at that time or maybe it was just incredible cold winds blowing off the straight.
The Seattle average high for the month was almost 10 d
So most of us here west of the Cascades go from a warm summer Mediterranean to a hot summer Mediterranean climate. We will basically have the climate of present day Sacramento Valley. Looks like there will still be an oceanic climate in the Olympic Peninsula, so it will be the last to go.
Point is... Trump was president then and could do nothing about it. You are waaaaaaay too optimistic about a second Trump presidency. It will be another sh*tshow for a variety of reasons. One big reason is that the resistance will be off the charts. And he can't do anything to stop it. And the offset in 2028 will be swift and decisive and will suck for conservatives. They let their party be taken over by a cult.
I hated what that officer did in that case. We could have all come together following that event, but the leftist idiots just immediately assumed conservatives were going to condone what the officer did. 100% wrong as always.
