You are going to get a fast 1 inch of snow today I bet

You’d think Chris being close to the coast would make snow tougher there…but something I’ve learned over the years is he can actually do a lot better than me sometimes!

If we get good showers tonight it will be snowing at sea level. Tonight looks colder by just enough.  Should be no problem here.

Oh you’ll definitely do good the next couple overnight periods. I think the next couple nights are slightly more favorable here than the last 2 nights…but I don’t know if it’ll be enough. Maybe I’ll have to take a drive to your neck of the woods tomorrow for a hike to see some snow.

I'm thrilled for you. Didn't that happen last year too before a ruler turned up. Nice photo. I'm so excited for you and @Dave. @TigerWoodsLibido did you get anything measurable?

Nah, it was trying to stick for a few mins but melted when it stopped snowing. Was pretty to see falling tho.

D*mn yeah might have to check it out. Green mountain at 1600’ seems to do better than tiger mountain at 1300’. I drive over that everyday. They’ve had a decent amount of snow this week but not that much.

Not even close to that up there now.    Definitely more than we have had here this week though.

Way more, I agree. We get more winter precip over here and when the mountains have a 1500ft snow level the mountain gets snow and so do I many times. I really should  of done better with this but the reason is how long those showers have stayed over the ocean and moderated I believe and it's March.

As for grades, I'm not sure how I'd rank it for my location. Last winter was maybe a C-. Lots of little snows of like .20 each time, more than this year but this year had a better month (January) for me. I'm only about half an inch better than last year but considering the arctic front with over a week below freezing highs, almost 6 inches of snow depth, thunder snow, and a more seasonable first frost I'm giving the winter a B+ so far. But if I don't get anymore snow of an inch or more then maybe I'll keep it a B. It's also an El Nino year.

The only really unique thing about last year was having the first snowfall come before the first frost and being just a day late of trick of treating in the snow.

12Z EPS still sticking with big pattern change by week 2.     But I am probably jinxing it by tracking it which would make a few people happy.

The sun is trying to come out but it's failing, hopefully it'll move into one of the little blue patches in the sky, fresh snow and sunshine are a great duo as long as it's cold enough.

Coldest temp this winter: -7 Jan 13th

Snow depth at Mount Bachelor (last updated April 29th) 88"

Snow depth at my home (updated April 29th) late season 1"!

23-24 seasonal snowfall at home (updated April 29th) 92"!!

The outer coast of Vancouver island has done way better than most of the more inland areas of the BC south coast.

I'd love a few days of warmth and sunshine every week,  but also a couple days of mountain snow. Hopefully we can get into that pattern. I'd say I've had enough snow days this year to be satisfied, so I wouldn't be too upset about not getting any more. Maybe another foot this season would be nice though.

Yes, it’s going to happen. Looks transitory, we likely see a big trough carving out around or after the 20th as the high pressure moves more west.
