Many people did. We were told it was "canonical Nino climo."  Not everything is personal Phil. There is no invective headed in your direction from me.

Nobody on this forum did. IDGAF what Joe Bastardi et al were predicting.

Niño climo also isn’t a “torch” anywhere. But it is warmer than average out there in February. Which is exactly what happened.

I snapped this SNAP crossing the Glenn Jackson about a half hour ago. I can see the cloudiness to the east and down your way Andrew. You are actually about due south of that bridge. I always look toward Table Rock and give you a little tip of the hat when I cross 🥲

But I actually wouldn’t worry too much Andrew. I think the clear skies are moving your way.

Beautiful. Btw I don’t believe table rock burned in 2020. Ended up right between the Beachie Creek and Riverside fires. I think Rooster Rock did though.

I need to get up there and check it out. Haven’t been up the upper Molalla since the fire. I’m sure it’s a lot different now. Sometimes it feels like everywhere is.

I went up there last summer or maybe the summer before a lot of the corridor burned, but not as much as you would think. A lot of it stayed on the ridges. Once you get up on the Table Rock fork it’s mostly intact iirc.

Back in 2011 I had an offer accepted on a home up on elk prairie on the ridge above the Molalla river. Almost 2400’ elevation. Needed too much work and I bailed, ended up here. That home burned to the ground in the fires.

+1 is +1, that's the difference between 32 and snow and 33 degree rain in a round about way on any day as I say.......  huge implications in the long run of the BELLBIVDEVOEABCBBD index, keep up Fillup.

Fall sucks. It's just an extension of summer now.

Fall is my least favorite season by far.

Fall is an east coast deciduous season.

Fall is BORING. There’s no weather to speak of in Sep/Oct except for the once-a-decade tropical storm or low end hurricane.

Our state is jumping right into things. The Washington Department of Ecology declared a drought emergency for nearly the entire state.  They say we had a very dry winter, which we did.  They say we have low snow pack and it's diminishing fast.  “There is simply not enough water contained in mountain snow and reservoirs to prevent serious impacts for water users in the months ahead.”

According to WA Ecology, statewide snowpack stands at 68% as of Tuesday, with some areas — including the Olympic Mountains, Lower Yakima and the north Sound — registering “significantly lower.”

“Streamflows in many basins are already below 75% of normal,” Ecology wrote. “Forecasts for April through September have Chelan River streamflows at 52% of normal, while the Stehekin, Methow and Okanagan rivers are forecasted to have 59% of normal streamflows.”

It's absolutely embarrassing how delayed the Euro is on Tropical Tidbits. It's also very low in resolution and has limited filters. No other weather model site has any of those issues with the Euro, not anymore at least, not since the ECMWF eased back on their premiums in 2022. I wouldn't even mind the limited filters if it weren't for the three hour offset.
