Pretty interesting at the end of the run.  Not much difference between 850s and 925s.  Inversion with an already cold air mass.

At this rate if we can't manage a ridge merger or the Aleutian ridge to migrate towards ~160-155 W I am rooting for a big ridge, inversion, fake cold scenario and often after 5-7 days or so that has led to a pattern of retrogression. We'll see....

We're not even close yet. Thankfully it does appear that this wretched pattern we've been stuck in is about to go away though. It was 50 degrees here at 9am this morning.

Long range gfs hints the Pacific ridge will get splitty. NW has scored many times with that kind of pattern.

All is not lost. 00z GEFS Nice improvements long range and not far off at all from progressing into a cold pattern.
