Takes for ever to upload pics with only my 1 bar cell signal since my satellite dish is covered. Pics don’t want to upload but I’m trying! Also it appears that all of the Lake Goodwin area is powerless. I still have power, I have a feeling they got even more than me.

EDIT: Pics loaded.

Y’all might have the worst energy infrastructure in the entire country. I’m legit shocked you haven’t lost power considering how often you’re left in the dark.

Lmao. I am out on the kitsap peninsula at green mountain right now at about 1200’. Light dusting of snow here and probably 34 degrees. Breezy N winds and some light snow right now…but it looks like some precip is moving in.

The timing of this seasons snow has been perfect! I was off work from 12/24 thru 1/3 and today is a paid holiday so I am off today as well! I give the timing of winter fun 21/22 an A! Overall winter up to a B+ from a B! Kids had a blast with their new sleds.
Temp up to 34.5, but we briefly dropped to 31 this morning so it made the top of the snow crunchy which was nice!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

My friend that lives on Camano just posted a few pics on FB, they got hammered! I’m still waiting for a Lake Goodwin report but I noticed they are still powerless so I’m thinking similar to Camano’s numbers.

Driest Jan-Feb all but guaranteed at this point. Going to beat out 2012-2013

Actually looking back at the records the driest 60 day stretch in winter was Dec 1975-Jan 1976 with 0.78"

Currently Jan - Feb 2022 we are sitting at .28" Normal would be 11"

Historic drought is an understatement

Context matters a little though did the 1975-76 winter have 100” of snow before it dried out

Not sure If we are going to hit Tim’s temp map that showed 40’s. Up here, temp down to 34.0 with a DP of 33.6. Partly sunny.

I'm going to guess no... Well do you have a north or south wind?

Guessing not up there with a north wind and snow cover.    41 and partly to mostly sunny North Bend in now.     But 12Z ECMWF insists that another band of snow is going to rotate in here from this east this afternoon.

It’s coming! Again!!
Temp up to 39.2. Guess the Tim Temp map might be accurate after all.

It was an ECMWF map!

And thought TacomaWaWx might find those maps useful when looking for a place to hike in snow.  👍

So Alaskan ridging really is preferable to Alaskan troughing?
