Brrr! It will be interesting to experience that. Coldest I've been in is -1F.

The other night we went out to dinner and both my mother in law and wife were talking about how cold it felt. It was 44 degrees. I checked the forecast for Sioux Falls this week and it shows a 6F/-8F spread on Wednesday. Needless to say... There will be an adjustment period. 😂

Looks like it’s getting close to some forum members. Wish all the radars were working.

I have never seen this set up here.   The east side of the band does not move at all... but the west side is moving westward.    Its just dumping snow here.

Yeah normally precip would be falling apart at this point but maybe the euro was right about some snow in the EPSL and south Puget sound tonight. Would be cool to scrape a trace of snow together! It’s heading right this way by the looks of it.

It looks like the mountains to the north and east of North Bend are a snow producing machine tonight and its so strange to see it moving in the opposite direction.   Literally looks like a snow machine pumping out snow which is moving farther to the west now but it never moves from the source.    The was no indication this was coming... northerly flow was clearing things out this afternoon and I thought the ECMWF was just going to be wrong.   But nope.

Haha yeah you're going to need some time to adjust! It's all relative of course so eventually anything above 20F feels quite warm and pleasant!

It's the near to below zero weather that you never really adapt to. Have to keep literally everything completely covered and even then it's a struggle to keep the blood flowing in your face/extremities to avoid frostbite. I never had frostbite in my life until we moved out here. I've now had it on 9 fingers, 2 toes and my nose in just the last 5 years that we've been here. We dropped below zero here this morning and will stay that way until Thursday afternoon sometime so lots of bundling and limited time outdoors for the next few days!

It's coming down pretty good right now. Temp has dropped to 33 with a solid coating on grass/bushes/etc.

Pretty cool last snow event for you! Pretty decent looking band of snow from Hobart to almost Kent now.

I've moved the winter here back to a solid B after the snow we got today. I kept procrastinating on bringing the snow board out today and gave up at lunch when it was dry and high 30s at 2pm. Later we received the snow. I'm guessing somewhere between .5-1 but maybe more but really hard to tell. I consoled myself with my favorite winter workout. I pull my five year old son in this plastic sled we've had for two years and I jog around town pulling him like an Alaskan sled dog at night with him riding on it. It's a heck of a workout! It was enough snow to avoid hitting pavement and glide on.

I think the radar is deceiving because its the coastal radar that is picking it up... with the SEA radar down.   Its heavier than it looks on radar for sure.

Pretty good snow blast going here and already down to 33.  This one caught me totally off guard which almost never happens.  Currently have a good coating on the ground.

Straight snow globe scene here with very heavy, giant wet snow. Just beautiful.

Just dumping here.  It's so nice to get this with the really cold air right on our doorstep now.

34F and mostly cloudy. Very pleasant evening on the porch. Love seeing my breath in the cold air like this.

Total surprise... I said earlier that I can't ever remember a set up quite like this in my area.

Having the radar down makes this kind of an interesting event.  I could tell it looked convective on the sat pic when I looked about a half hour ago.

It seems like late Feb and March cold waves almost always find a way to produce snow.

Last night/early this morning caught me completely off guard. All of the models seemed to have the moisture plume well south of me but it seemed like they were in error by about 15-20 miles. Other than not taking the normal precautions to keep the snow off my carports and have my plow out of its corner in the garage and ready I was so excited when I looked out the window at 4:30am!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

This one is full of surprises.  I guess we shouldn't be all that surprised when you look at how this evolved at the 500mb level.  It has the classic look.

I think this event tonight is being aided by the very dry air starting to invade the area.  It is thoroughly ringing all of the moisture out of the clouds.
