New WRF is farther south... low comes in over Vancouver WA.  

 

So far south that the heavy precip line is right over my location.   

 

This might help the Portland area or at least its northern suburbs with less wind.

The more southerly track is going to limit cold air outflow up there.

51 mph at Salem, less than 3 mph here in Battle Ground.  We'll see if it's too close to cause too much wind here in Clark County.

Its definitely way warmer even if it's further south... Was 35-36 all night here with a 10mph SW wind(downslope?), started snowing early in the morning temperature dropped down to 32 and it went up to 33 when it stopped snowing in the last hour.

Radar Loop clearly shows the low heading north of PDX probably right into Willapa Bay. IR Loop backs this up. Reports of Snow mixing in with the rain in PDX metro. Dynamic cooling is rather dynamic! Salem already gusting over 50mph.

Crazy how close this low is going to be to Portland. They may get spared from the worst winds are might get nailed with the highest gusts. Hard to tell.

Cold rain in downtown Bellevue at 40. Looks like its around 37-38 back NE of Redmond. I think a few people will score but most of us will probably just get cold rain today and tonight...oh well. Hopefully we all get surprised.

Looks like they just broke the old record of 13.35" from Dec. 1996.

Definitely. Check out the 12z WRF 4km Wind Gust model. I created a zoomed image. Widespread 45-55kt gusts!

Buoy off Tillamook now reading 981mb. This is not good it seems things are trending towards the MM5-NAM and if the gradient verifies this is going to be a major quick hitting wind storm.
