snow_wizard
Yeah it stayed at 30-31 all night here too. Hard to believe we could be seeing another major cool down in about 4 days. Although for places on the Canadian Border and east side the cold will never be really going away. Yeah...the big picture still looks good. I just need to shake this disappointment off and move on. It boggles my mind how none of the patterns that deliver heavy snow to my area refuse to materialize. I haven't had a good snow since January 2012. It's almost a sick joke that it's colder here this morning than places that got a lot more snow than me. Quote Death To Warm Anomalies! It's a shame we saw that tongue of warmth at 925mb since this really wasn't even a "warm"system, per se. 850s never went above zero and thicknesses stayed at 540dm or lower.Along with Obamacare, it'd be nice to see Trumpy follow through with one of his early campaign promises to abolish the 950-900mb level of atmosphere. snow_wizard
I'm not really bothered by it. Happy with what we saw and interested with the upcoming potential since the pattern seems to stay pretty cold going forward. You still have the glow of 2013-14 to bask in. This is about the worst snow drought ever recorded for this area. By that I mean the amount of time since we've had a 2 inch or more snowfall. Given how early it the season it still is I'm sure I'll get over it quickly. Quote Death To Warm Anomalies! TT-SEA
All the way to school as we drove through low visibility and drifting snow... my boys were complaining and wondering WHY was school still open and on time. Everyone was just moving along slowly and going about their business. I told them that we are not weather wimps in the valley. Schools stay open through windstorms, and floods, and snowstorms. Jesse
I actually have a pretty good layer of ice here. Yeah, I just went to take the garbage out and we have a solid 1/8"-1/4" glaze on top of what's left of our sporadic and windblown snow cover.
