pscz1140
Been snowing nicely in Capitol Hill for a little while now. Cars, grass, and rooftops are turning white. VancouverIslandSouth
Ahead of that band of precipitation the temperature has risen to 39F and dewpoint fallen to 15F here in Victoria; kind of the opposite of what I'd expect but I doubt any of this band reaches the surface here. crf450ish
Definitely a good sign that you're seeing snow in an area where the 0z WRF showed virtually nothing. Another strike on the reliability of these snow maps: http://www.atmos.washington.edu/wrfrt/data/2017020300/images_d3/wa_snow48.48.0000.gif Thanks for posting that map. I live 10 miles north of the confluence of the Spokane & Columbia rivers. Looks like what that map is showing is on par with WU..... 5" for me. If it verifies, I'm going to play hell getting into Spokane metro by 7 am Monday morning . I love the driving challenges winter brings over here though, never a dull moment. Good times. Plus we need some fresh stuff. Everything here is hard as concrete.
