Dry and 39 here... but the dewpoint is at 36 which is not a great sign.     Last week when the big snowstorm here was rolling in we were starting out with a dewpoint in the mid 20s.

Yeah... definitely looks better out there.   The current 925mb temp shows the cold air damming situation on that side of the Sound.

Going to take some time to switch, i was looking at the komo radar and it is showing snow in places out here now.

The difficult part of the forecast is how far north 
possible warm air will reach. This is the big question for the 
Spokane area. The EC is the most bullish, whereas the GFS keeps 
Spokane all snow. NAM changes Spokane over to rain around noon 
Saturday. Do have mention in the afternoon of a rain/snow mix or 
just plain rain.

Wet bulb effect can drop the temperature to the mean of the pre-onset temperature and dew point. Which, in your case, is 30°F. So actually a decent chance… if you get enough precip.

Why the GFS, of course, the model known for its great accuracy in characterizing precip type!

41F right now.  25 years ago, before the models really got worth looking at I would be thinking it might snow tonight.  The sky looks like it and it feels like the temps going to be falling with snow mixing in a few hours.  Since all the models say no except for the totally worthless GFS I am quite certain it won't be snowing around here.  Still dry with blustery winds.
