a more dignified way of paying for grad school.  Beats giving lap dances at Ricks in Lake City but probably less lucrative.

Don't kid yourself.  Those bikini baristas or going straight from the coffee stand in the morning, to the stripper pole in the evening, in most instances.  They love that 4 AM coffee stand start time because that is the time the cocaine kicks in.

Nah. Everyone needs to take a step back(including yourself), put on some Christmas music, or Cannibal Corpse. Take an hour off until the Drunk Uncle. It might go everyone some good.

I've been running this place for eight years. As @Deweydogstated in the first few weeks, I had acquired the forum on some suspicious and shaky grounds. I guess I can be put in the lot with Jesse as the Astorian Xoomer Dad rubs me the wrong way most of the time.

Got down to 30 this morning. Currently 38. Lots of mood swings on here with the GFS and Euro. I think part of the reason everyone is freaking out is because the Euro is the one with the cold temps while the GFS isn’t really that on board with it and we just aren’t used to that. It’s usually the other way around. Though I think the weather app got into druncles cabinet as well.

No one likes getting called out. God knows I’ve deserved it time and time again.

When did Andrew make a Hitler joke? That aspect of things I appear to be missing.

As far as local weather conditions go we are currently at 40F with a very pleasant and sunny day.

Bravo. That's pretty good honestly. I couldn't come up with that. Give yourself a round of something cold and alcoholic, and a reach-around too. Outstanding.

The 12z EURO was the stuff of dreams. At least it wasn't like one of those old school 18z GFS runs that was like -10C colder than the closest other ensemble member. Looking I like looking at the spaghetti chart, because it gives you a good idea if there are other ensemble members even in the ball park. In this case there are. That kind of blast is 32 years in the making, it's hard to believe it will NEVER happen again, especially seeing what happened in the Central US in February 2021. Our day will come, will it be next week,  probably not, but runs like that keep us in the game.

In case anyone was wondering here's the current seasonal snowfall accumulations for the PNW from NOAA. Pretty clear which places have seen snow and which haven't, although I would argue the 0.1" to 1" is a pretty large bin. Hoping this looks a lot more dark blue and yellow within a couple weeks time.
