TT-SEA
Brutal black ice weather out here this morning. A mix of rain showers and clear breaks overnight with temps dropping to 32 around 630am. Wow... nothing like that here. It was raining hard when we woke up... dry now with some breaks in the clouds and 40 degrees. MossMan
I must have slept through it but looking at my rain gauge I received 3/4” over the last 24hrs with the majority of it falling last night. Dry at the moment though. Quote Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth! ShawniganLake
Wow... nothing like that here. It was raining hard when we woke up... dry now with some breaks in the clouds and 40 degrees.Sounds like there was a bad accident on the west side of Shawnigan lake, which is our typical route to Victoria. My wife had to take the slightly longer drive thru Mill bay. More highway driving that route, so probably less chance of ice.
ShawniganLake
Lots of uncertainty with the late week storm potential. 12z gfs keeps the storm weaker and further south, with a sort of double barrel low.
Tyler Mode
3 years ago today, an EF-1 tornado struck just over a mile from my home. I was coming back from Portland when I noticed rotation on the radar and sent out a message on FB. I experienced some of the largest hail I have (quarter size) in the NW. I was up on my roof fixing my anemometer when I heard the power lines arching followed shortly by a ton of sirens. I never saw the tornado itself. In the attached velocity photo, the rotation is near Mount Vista headed NE. The other photo is the damage path put together by the NWS. Timmy
You haven't been paying attention the past couple of days... I guess it depends on what you are referring to. The fv3 has been extremely bullish of moisture including snow here (even on the pivotal site) as well as cold especially going into our recent cold snap. It shows a much more progressive pattern in the long range and is on an island by itself in that respect now.
