If this site has any credibility, apparently there has only been 2 February's as snowy as this one at the old KF site that recorded snow. 1919 had about as much snow and only 1938 had more than 3 feet.

I looked at cams around Portland. I actually got more snow than most places in the city it seems. Being just a little bit south helped out I guess. A pretty big difference just between here and northern Beaverton.

FV-3 showing a light snow event across NW Oregon next Wednesday. Similar to today, low going to the south throwing some moisture over a cold airmass.

Probably a good bet. To bad we couldn't have held precip around longer today, but should still be about as cold as it gets this time of year for highs.

Operational GFS is on the warm side of the ensemble mean early next week. Looks like a strong signal for deep troughing in the March 6-9 period. Could be snowy in Flagstaff when I am down there.

I'm sure the cold has been ridiculous over there though.

What has been impressive is the length of it.  I don't know if many places have set any max/min records, probably not, but to go almost the entire month in February without going above freezing is very rare.  

 

I looked up a few snow records, and in Central Washington like where I live and in Wenatchee, it is probably about a top 5 or 6 event as far as snow goes, but if you go further south, like Yakima, Tri Cities, etc., it is probably the snowiest February on record.  But that is pretty low hanging fruit, as some of those areas rarely get more than 12 inches in February.

Decided to take a peak at bend subreddit, here is the best picture I found. Maybe I'll get there in the first week of march if we get a big overrunner before the warm up.

NwSnow, how are you doing under that band in the west metro?

 

That band probably delivered the best snowfall here for this event, nothing big but had maybe 3/4ths of an inch of snow. Roads are melting pretty fast now.
